The city of Arcadia was not like one she had seen since she arrived in this new world. The infrastructure was not like she had seen in her travels. The city was almost 2000 years old and hailed as one of the largest and most power of the East side cities of Dragonia. Still if you were standing out on the outer rim of the city you couldn’t tell. Where she was from the city became more advanced the further you left the central older sections, It was like a wave effect, you started building better more advanced sections and then work your way back in to update the remaining outdated parts. Arcadia however had a vast central city full of towering buildings, schools, and military ports. The further you got from the metropolis the smaller and more urban the city became. The idea fascinated her wondering if the city was progressing from the center out or people actually chose to live in less than modern housing. In any case the less modern outskirts made fitting in much easier. until She wasn’t quite sure where she would go, but looking like someone that didn’t belong was the first mistake someone could make.

Overhead, the sounds of hover lifts, repulsors, and other propellants could be heard as freighters and personal craft all gathered in their designated traffic zones. Looking beyond that, a large boxy style ship of some kind could be seen floating behind the main central spire. Gazing back down to her eye level, she could see the nicer and older model wheeled vehicles. So many people thought the invention of personal flight vessels would end the road system all together. When in fact it leveled out most places from what she was told. Flying craft were expensive to maintain as well as purchase, they also had heavier restrictions in many areas of cities removing the dream of full freedom. This moved the rich and the fast that didn’t want ground traffic out of the way. It also let larger more corporate style businesses like military and industrial manufactures to use bulk freighters to import their machines and parts, bypassing weight and space restrictions on the ground. This lead to more room for the common workers and business to roam the roads.

Before venturing too deep, she traded random trinkets she had picked up along the way, this afforded her some ration packs and a stylish cloak in the Dragonian style over the ragged one she had been using. On the road you want to look poor, on the busy street, you want to look rich leading many to feel the ramifications of messing with you were greater than the payout. The cloak was a dark shade of grey, nearly to the point of being called black. The hood was lined with a maroon fabric that did wonders to hiding her features.

The area was well kept and maintained though she had not seen any droid or other mechanized appliance that would have done the work with such detail as she had at Freedom Port. Could the people really be that proactive in their community? Still it spoke well for the city, even the most under advanced part of it was clean.

Moving deeper into the city started to become a lot harder she learned on foot. The foot traffic was so thick that repulsor travel would be the only way to deliver here. Not to mention there was a melting pot of all types of races here that she had never seen so civil before.

Suddenly her concentration was broken as something heavy hit her back staggering her forward almost out of control. Quickly she shifted her weight to balance out again but the large body behind her continued to bump into her till she was chest to back with the person in front of her.

“Who Daresssss!” Shouted a female but heavily accented common. Telltale signs that she was pressed up against an  Ingalian. The woman turned as easily as she could and stared straight into her eyes. Her features were almost Terrian like besides the fact her scaly face had an protruding mouth. She was obviously one of the High Born and not a lower servant class. The more Terrian you looked, the more advanced you were considered in the Hegemony. You gained power not only in your family but others of lesser design. She was not the royalty she had met in the past, but she was probably someone that commanded great power in her nest. The yellow slitted eyes burned into her face before she looked up at the problem.

“Torvassssss” She hissed as her head turned to face the giant creature looming over both of them.

“This is not Hogran’s fault!” She thought he said through his muffled words and sluggish speech.

Torvas were known throughout the lands but nothing concrete on them was ever settled on. They were hulkish monsters that varied ins size and colors. Usually the colors would make up one tribe and reject all others. Some would allow multiple colors but that was rare. They were sadly extremely strong and usually low I.Qed. Not that no one tried in the past to train them to blend in with society. Every so often one would be born with higher understanding and ability to use some form of meta techniques. This one was far from that type and looked as if he was only as docile as he was now because of the confusion going on in his head.

“It is too Hogran’sssss fault. Your kind alwaysss in the way.” She snapped in a proper but hurtful tone.

The confusion that seemed to be stalling the natural violent nature of Hogran was quickly fading as she insulted him. Onlookers also were catching on to his look as he focused everything on the Ingalia woman.

“If Hogran have problem Hogran hit problem till problem goes away!” He shouted crunching his fist together and looking as if he was going to strike soon.

She was trapped in between two people whose races have a long distrust for each other. Clenching her teeth she started to each for the sheathed weapon on her side when she felt a push from her left side move her out of the way and into the circle of people that were watching and slowly walking around to see if any blood shed was to come.

“Okay okay now let's not get worked up.” A male voice came from where she was standing.

She strained to see who it was that was willingly stepping into this situation but the crowd had already absorbed her as people moved her out of the way to see what was going to happen. Part of her wanted to fight back to the front of the crowd, but this was and could be her only chance to get away before authorities started looking for her or people wanted to question her part in all this. She took off as fast as she could without drawing too much attention to herself moving deeper into the core of the city. Sliding and shifting around people was getting easier once she got passed what she assumed was the main ring of the market. When the crowds thinned enough she took a corner and rested her back against the side of a building in a fairly well lit alley.

“What have you gotten yourself into?” She asked herself silently. Taking a small cantine out, she unscrewed the top and took a small drink of water before continuing. It was a long way to the central section on foot. After a few more deep breaths she lifted herself off the wall and turned to blend back in with the crowd not seeing the glowing circular runes left behind where she leaning.
